The Official Food Science & Technology Society

With the aim to bring food, friends, and fun to the students, staff and alumni of the Food Science & Technology Programme under the Department of Chemistry in the National University of Singapore, the Food Science & Technology Society organises and hosts a series of welfare-related events to boost the morale of our members, bond Food Science staff and students across all levels and ages, and to promote the programme and interest in Food Science to the university and general public.

The President's Message (2016/2017)

Dear FST friends and alumni,

​

It is an honor to be able to serve the FST Society as the president. I would like to thank the previous committees and our staff advisor, Ms. Lee Chooi Lan for doing a wonderful job in creating and assisting in events for our FST family.

​

Our motto for the 8th FST Society is “Bringing heart and food together”. We aim to create events that put FST students’ welfare as our priority and contributing back to the community.

​

In 2016, our annual FST Day created an opportunity for staff, students, and alumni to gather outside their office or school and relax. Also, our welfare pack for semester 1 had positive feedbacks with all the additional goodies given out!

​

In 2017, do look forward to the upcoming events such as Ice Cream making and Baking Course (ICMB), Science Day, Science Open House that will incorporate fun and creative ideas to introduce food science to everyone!

 

We hope you had a great year in 2016 and wish you a fruitful year ahead!
